At LBCA, we welcome players of all levels, from beginner to advanced.

New 8 week session starts in Yardley on Monday,May 2nd and runs for 8 weeks until June 20th. Beginner Class 6-7 PM. Adavanced Class 7-8 PM.

New 8 week session starts in Yardley on Tuesday, May 3rd and runs for 8 weeks until June 21st. Beginner Class 5-6 PM.

 

New 8 week ONLINE session starts Tuesday, May 3rd 7-8 PM and runs for 8 weeks until June 21st.

New 8 week session starts in Yardley on Wednesday,May 4th and runs for 8 weeks until June 22nd. Beginner Class 6-7 PM. Advanced Class 7-8 PM.

New 8 week session starts in Bensalem on Thursday, May 5th and runs for 8 weeks until June 23th. Advanced Class 7-8 PM.

​​LBCA offers in-person classes in two locations, for both youth and adults, at our Yardley location every Monday and Wednesday night, and our Bensalem location every Thursday night. Online Classes are held on Tuesday night's from 7-8 PM.

Yardley Beginner Classes are held Monday's and Wednesday's from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. 

Yardley Advanced Classes are held Monday's and Wednesday's from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

 

In the Beginner Class students will learn how to move the pieces and basic strategies and tactics. The beginner class  is more casual than the advanced class. The class is taught by National Life Master, former PA State Quick Champion Bela Kis.

In the Advanced Class, participants go over master games, learn basic tactics, strategies, plans, learn how to assess positions, and learn endgame principles and strategies. There will be structured lessons along with supervised play during the class. The class is taught by NM Bela Kis.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks are required for the class, and each participant's temperature will be taken before entry is allowed. Hand sanitizer and wipes for the chess pieces are also to be used.
