Whether your child is a beginner eager to learn the game or an intermediate player looking to advance their skills, our camp offers the perfect opportunity for growth and camaraderie.

Camp Highlights:

• Chess Instruction: Our experienced instructors will provide engaging lessons, covering everything from the basics for beginners to advanced strategies for more experienced players.

• Tournaments and Games: Campers will have the chance to put their skills to the test in friendly tournaments and enjoy games with fellow chess enthusiasts.

• Chess Puzzles: Daily chess puzzles and challenges to sharpen tactical and strategic thinking.

• Outdoor Activities: To balance the cerebral challenges, we offer outdoor activities, ensuring a well-rounded camp experience.

• Mental Gymnastics: Chess isn’t just about moves; it’s about thinking ahead, planning, and problem-solving. Campers will develop these skills in a playful and interactive setting.

• Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Chess teaches valuable life skills, including sportsmanship, patience, and the ability to learn from losses.

• Location: Yardley Comunnity Center and Yardley Makefield Soccer

• Materials: All necessary chess sets and materials will be provided.

LBCA offers weekday summer camps running for 2 weeks in June, held at Yardley Community Center in Yardley PA. Summer camps run Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 12 PM or 8 AM to 4PM. Activities include: USCF rated games, learning openings, tactics, endgames, puzzles, studying master games, soccer, frisbee, master lectures, playing games against fellow students, blitz, bughouse, and analyzing the students games. Outside activities will be held at Yardley Makefield Soccer in Yardley PA which is 1 minute driving from the Community Center.
